Pricing/Payments - You understand that due to the nature of pet grooming, all quoted prices prior to actually grooming your pet are only estimates. Things that may affect pricing include: temperament, condition of coat/matting, length of coat, breed, size, and ability to stand for groom. Payment will be required at the completion of your pets groom. If your pet was too difficult to finish or a health issue arose during grooming, a grooming charge will still be required. If you do not answer the door or are not home at the confirmed appointment time, 50% of the groom will be charged for time and travel.
Matting - Occasionally grooming can expose a hidden medical issue, or aggravate a current one. This can occur during, or after the groom. Small mats in a few places can be removed if they are not too tight to the skin. Mats can cause sensitive skin, bruising, sores, hematomas, and other health issues. Trying to remove these mats is not only painful for your pet, but is also dangerous. Heavy matting can also trap moisture near the pet’s skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritations that exist prior to the grooming process. After effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions, hematomas, and failure of the hair to re-grow. Shaved pets are also prone to sunburn so limit their exposure outside. In some cases pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. As the owner, you are responsible for the condition of your pet’s coat and will not hold Magic Groom Bus responsible in the event of adverse effects of mat removal.
Senior Pets and Pets with Health Concerns - You will be upfront and honest about any health concerns (including allergies) your pet may have. We will always do our best to groom to the owners specifications. When we have senior pets or pets with health concerns that do not do well physically or mentally with grooming, I will recommend a comfort groom. This will keep your pet comfortable, be low maintenance, and create a better overall grooming experience for your senior pet. If your pet does have specific allergies please let me know prior to appointment so I can be sure all of the products I use on them are appropriate!
Pets with Aggression or Behavioral Issues - You will be upfront and honest about aggression or behavioral issues that your pet may have. We are trained to work with aggressive pets, and have multiple strategies to work with them. That being said we cannot guarantee we will make it through the full groom if you pet will not tolerate it. Pushing them to far can result in injury, permanent aggression to others, and a very negative view on future grooming and handling. We are always open to suggestions, treats, and in very limited special circumstances allowing the owner to be present and assist with grooming. If the groom cannot be completed, there will still be a minimum charge of $80 for the visit.
Grooming Cancellations - If you need to cancel your appointment we ask that you give 48 hours’ notice, so that we can give another client the opportunity to get their pet taken care of. If you do not cancel within 48 hours there will be a $40 cancellation fee due before being able to reschedule. We understand emergencies do arise, and this fee will be assessed on a case to case basis. If we arrive at your home after confirming the appointment and you and your pet are not there and have not informed us, you will be responsible for paying 50% of the grooming cost quoted to you, and that will need to be paid the day service was supposed to be rendered.
Pet Photos - Your pet’s photo may be used for social media and marketing purposes. If you do not want your pet’s photo used please inform your groomer before your visit.
Bus Parking - There will need to be adequate room for a 20ft mini bus to park in front of your home on a semi level spot. If you are in an apartment or an HOA, you must check with them to make sure we will be allowed to park in front of your home/apartment for grooming. If we show up and we can not park to complete the groom, there will be a charge of 50% of your groom.
Vaccinations - As per Maryland law, you must provide proof of a current Rabies vaccine. The only exception is puppies under 4 months of age. Please Text or Email a copy of your pet’s vaccines prior to their spa day. Text – 443-347-3388 Email – email@example.com
Unforeseen Circumstances - On rare occasions, Magic Groom Bus may need to cancel appointments due to weather, road conditions, equipment failure, personal emergencies etc. Every effort will be made to contact you in advance. We will make every effort to reschedule your pet(s) as quickly and as conveniently as possible. Since we operate in a mobile grooming unit, equipment malfunctions may arise due to no fault of our own. If this happens we will make every effort to reschedule your pet(s) as quickly and as conveniently as possible. If it is a generator or water issue, we may ask if you are ok with us hooking up to your home to finish the groom.
I (the pet owner) understand that if my pet is severely tangled or matted, a senior, has a medical condition, or is behaviorally difficult, they are at an increased risk of injury, stress, and/or trauma. All precautions will be taken to the best of our ability. However, problems may arise during or after a groom, such as, but not limited to, nicks, clipper irritation, and mental/physical stress. I understand that matted, senior, or difficult pets have a greater chance of injury during grooming, and I will not hold Magic Groom Bus responsible for an accident or injury to my pet that is beyond their control.
I understand that photos and videos of my pet may be used for marketing and social media purposes. I will inform my groomer prior to my pet’s appointment if I am not ok with this.
I agree to pay any cancellation fees, or other fees stated in this agreement if I do not comply with the rules stated above.
I agree that should I be present with my pet in Magic Groom Bus’ vehicle and an injury occurs, I will not hold Magic Groom Bus liable for injuries or costs accrued.
I understand that I am liable for any medical care expenses and damages that result from injuries caused by my pet. I expressly waive and relinquish any and all claims against Magic Groom Bus, its employees and representatives. I have disclosed to Magic Groom Bus all known dangers associated with my pet.
Should there be a medical emergency during grooming I give permission to Magic Groom Bus to seek medical care for my pet after all attempts to contact me have been made.
I hereby declare to Magic Groom Bus that I am the legal owner of my pet; that my pet has not been exposed to any infectious illness within the last (30) thirty days; and that my pet has been properly inoculated for Rabies. I (the owner) certify the information I have provided to be true and accurate; and I (the owner) have read, understand, and agree to this release form in its entirety.
