Welcome to the Funny Farm
My fiance and I are passionate about having an inviting place for people to bring their four-leggers to hang out at our farm with us! We desire to add many amenities, activities, and help out local animal rescues once we "catch on" around the area as a choice spot for animals to hang out down at the farm.
We also get great satisfaction to source our supplies, materials, furnishings, home decor etc from around the area as much as we have the ability to do. To us, this means re-using and re-purposing in creative ways and making connections with local businesses to provide the greatest benefits possible to our Resort guests with the added benefit that we have fun thinking of and getting input on new ways to do things a little different than the status quo!
Misty Fields Pet Resort is Misty Gaerte and Mike Field,we live on 9 acres in a beautiful 1846 year built home and barn in Perry, Michigan with the goal of using it to follow our passion, which is caring for and playing with dogs, cats, horses, and really, ANY animals. We want to create a pet playground resort offering dog & cat boarding, dog daycare & more for many 4-legged varieties; even pet parents can get away and stay at our cozy guest house!
