Absolutely brilliant and so trustworthy. We left our German Shepherd puppy, Bosun for two nights overnight and the girls were a dream - he got so much attention on entry and it was clear from the first five seconds that we had left him in great hands, as they were all over him with affection and taking him to play. He’s a very needy dog and is very stuck on us so it was great to see him so comfortable immediately. He came back all blow dried and smelt incredible too so we will be back with Bosun for all of his overnight needs from now on. Thanks so much!

We can not recommend Good Dog Academy enough! Our wee man Aonghas has had the absolute pleasure of staying there twice now. I have to be honest I was really apprehensive about leaving him at a kennel, as he’d never stayed in one before but as soon as we arrived there we knew he was in good hands. The girls are absolutely amazing - so friendly, helpful and attentive. The facilities are just fantastic. Aonghas had an absolute ball playing with all the other dogs. He was SO excited the moment we drove up the lane when we dropped him back the second time and he realised where he was going (his reaction when he saw the girls spoke a thousand words 😂)
When we picked him up again the girls had him washed and blow dried, smelling amazing and even had given us a wee bag of treats for valentines day!
Thank you so much for taking the best of care of our little man, we are so glad we found GDA ❤️🐾

We can’t recommend the Good Dog Academy enough! Our little pup Finlay has been twice and absolutely loved it! The staff are so caring towards all the dogs they care for and are incredibly friendly to all the humans too! We have no reservations about booking Finlay in for future stays as we know he is so well looked after! Ashleigh and the team sending updates with videos and pictures put our minds at so much ease. The team can not be faulted and the facilities are fantastic!

We can’t recommend Good Dog Academy enough for boarding our two crazies. I was so worried about leaving them as last time they came home from boarding at another establishment they were unsettled for weeks but this time they came home busted and settled right back in. The team were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks again xx

"Honestly don't know what I would do without Ashley & Heather, two of the nicest people you will ever meet. I work full time and the reassurance i get leaving my pooch Ollie with them is so reassuring. Ollie is my first dog & they have been so supportive & given such lovely guidance, I hope they know how fab they are. 😊 Thanks to them I have a loveliest, socialable dog who is great with everyone. Thank you.. Catherine"

"Hera and Zeus stayed with Ashley over Christmas time. I couldn't be thankful enough for how well taken care they were. Ashley understands their needs and makes sure they are as comfortable as they would be at home. They get to run in the field, socialise with other dogs, play with plenty of toys and get lots of treats. Leaving them there is like giving them a doggie holiday too, a real peace of mind for owners."

"I'd tried 5 other kennels in Northern Ireland and this is the only one we've gone back to. Buster gets so excited when he knows he's arrived and bolts out to see Ashley. She sends pictures and videos showing him playing in the large area they have. Ashley knows that he can be anxious and will go over and above to make sure he is relaxed while there"

"We landed down at the Good Dog Academy with a 12 week old puppy and didn’t know really what to expect as we had always trained our own dogs/puppies in the past, but due to needing surgery – we didn’t know what else do to. Ashley invited us down for a meet and greet so she could understand what we wanted from the three week course, and to make sure that Cooper was a right fit for the programme. Within 5 minutes of arriving we felt so comfortable and I would have felt okay leaving Cooper for 3 months never mind 3 weeks!
A major panic of mine is that we would leave Cooper for 3 weeks and we wouldn’t be kept updated on how he was progressing, but every day a little photo, text or video came through to explain what had been going on, and how much mischief he was causing!
Cooper’s three weeks here enabled him to socialise with other dogs, something that we desperately wanted - but also kept him in check with housetraining and the basic commands a puppy needs.
Every time we go away now, there is no other place I would send Cooper as he thoroughly enjoys playing with the other dogs, but also loves the homely vibe from being able to stay in a house and get all the cuddles from Ashley – something that you would never get in kennels!
Ashley’s knowledge and experience for any form of training is absolutely out of this world and we were sent home with a full breakdown of follow on work we should do to make sure Cooper continues being the best boy. This information pack gave us so much information about how to act and treat Cooper throughout the different stages of his ‘puppy-life’, and also gave us tips on how to adapt as he gets older.
The only downside about sending him to the Good Dog Academy is that Cooper developed an obsession with salami and buying this in bulk in Tesco does get a few strange looks, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
For anyone thinking about getting their puppy trained, or even needing some help with an overnight stay etc, this is definitely the place to be! We have already pencilled Cooper in again with Ashley and we can’t wait!"
