DCCC Boarding policy form
DCCC requires advanced notice for cancellation or any changes to drop off/pick up dates.
We reserve the right to charge up to half the cost of total number of nights reserved at next reservation which must be paid PRIOR to making future reservations. If reservation was for one night, then the customer must pay for that night. For holiday reservations without proper notification, changes in drop off or pick up dates will result in a charge for the full amount of the original reservation dates.
*Non-holiday reservations: 48 hours advanced notice
*New Years, Spring Break, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day reservations:72 hours advanced notice.
*Thanksgiving and Christmas reservations: 7 days advanced notice.
The following vaccines are required, and you are responsible for making sure current records are on file at DCCC:
Dogs: Rabies, DHPPV, and Bordetella
Cats: FVRCP and Rabies
*We require vaccines up dated and current AT LEAST 2 weeks PRIOR to boarding drop off date.
Bordetella: Is an upper respiratory condition known as “canine cough” or “kennel cough,” which is caused by a virus and bacteria. The virus mutates, similar to the flu virus in humans, and the vaccination is not 100% effective against canine cough. Canine cough is a risk associated with boarding.
All guests must be in good health and must not have been exposed to any contagious or communicable illnesses within a 30-day period prior to check-in, includes boarding & grooming. DCCC will not allow admission of any guests that have a terminal illness and are in the late stages of that illness.
Each guest receives a pre-entry evaluation prior to admittance to boarding. This helps ensure a flea-free, healthy environment. Pet’s showing signs of illness (vomiting, coughing, gagging, sneezing or diarrhea) will not be admitted.
If fleas, ticks or other parasites are present on your dog or cat, he/she will be treated at your expense.
If a DCCC employee notices a serious change in the health or behavior status of your pet, we will do our best to notify you. If we feel medical attention is necessary, we will take steps to get medical attention as soon as possible. If DCCC believes the condition is relatively minor, such as allergies, scratches, etc., we will notify you upon pick-up. Minor issues will be noted in your dog’s daily record.
Personal Belongings, Food, and Medications
If your pet has a favorite toy, blanket, etc. that will make them more comfortable during their stay we will happily place it with them but please note DCCC is not responsible for items that are lost, dirtied, or damaged while your pet is staying with us. If we feel that an item becomes a hazard to your pets’ health, we will remove that item from their area.
In order to minimize the risk of digestive issues you are to provide your pets normal diet. Please provide enough food for their entire stay in a labelled resealable container. It is recommended you bring an extra meal or 2 in the event of changed plans. If enough food is not provided, DCCC will try to purchase exact food to complete their stay. You will be responsible for this charge along with an additional $15 convenience fee to be paid at pick up.
Please provide any medications we need to administer in their original packaging along with directions. If medication requires syringes, gauze, etc. to administer please provide that as well.
