Thank you for choosing Dogs in Suds Grooming to cater to your pet’s grooming needs! Grooming your pet is a responsibility that I take very seriously and in order for you, your pet and your groomer to have a positive relationship, the following policies have been laid out.
Our philosophy is that your pet’s safety and comfort are our first priority at all times. Dogs in Suds Grooming will not perform any grooming procedure that causes pain or an excessive level of stress to the pet. If your pet cannot tolerate a particular part of the grooming process, alternative solutions will be discussed, or it will be skipped entirely, in order to make the grooming visit as safe and pleasant as possible.
HEALTH & VACCINATIONS
In order to best care for the pet, we require that the pet owner advise us of any health or behavioral issues, allergies, sensitivities, or pre-existing conditions prior to grooming. Being aware of such issues will enable me to take extra care during the grooming process so as not to aggravate an existing problem or ruin the grooming experience.
Clients are required to disclose if their pet has a history of aggression or excessive stress during grooming, or if the pet has ever required a sedative or "calming pill" for grooming and agree to withhold these medications for the first grooming with Dogs in Suds. We reserve the right to stop and refuse service if risk of injury to pet or groomer is too high.
Current proof of third party administered rabies and distemper shots must be acquired by Dogs in Suds before the scheduled grooming. All vaccinations must be given no less than ten days before the grooming appointment.
For the comfort and safety of your pet, we do not de-mat neglected coats. Tangles that cannot be easily brushed out in a few minutes will require removal by way of clippers, taking the coat short to remove the mats comfortably. A mat removal liability release must be signed and a $25-$50 mat removal fee may apply in severe cases.
It is important to remember that a matted coat can cause or hide numerous health conditions including irritation, sores, and skin infections. Dogs in Suds Grooming is not responsible for any irritation or exacerbation of pre-existing conditions due to a matted coat or the mat removal process.
PHOTO RELEASE & REQUEST
Dogs in Suds Grooming often takes photos and videos of happy clients, especially before and after photos. Photos and videos are often used on social media, as well as on the home website, or for marketing purposes. By agreeing to this clause you release any ownership of said photos of your pet, and agree to allow Dogs in Suds Grooming full usage.
At any time, client has the right to request copies of photos or video, including any security camera footage featuring the client’s pet(s) and will have full rights to use.
PRICING & PAYMENT
Dogs in Suds Grooming charges appropriately for each induvial grooming service. Prices will vary by pet and services rendered, and an estimate will be given before each grooming session. Additional charges apply for removing a matted coat or treatment of fleas.
An annual price increase will apply to all base grooming fees and will be applied every year in January.
We accept all forms of payment, which is due at time of appointment. Returned checks will be subject to a $35 fee, payment of which is due, along with the amount of the original charge, before the next grooming session. Repeat offenders may be required to prepay when booking appointments, or may face termination of services.
It is important that you arrive on time to your scheduled appointment so that we have enough time to give your pet(s) the care they deserve. Be aware that arriving more than 15 minutes late for your appointment may require you to reschedule, so if you are running late, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible so that we can arrange our schedule accordingly.
To keep your pet’s visit short and sweet, we ask that you arrange to have your pet picked up as soon as possible or notify us of any schedule restrictions.
Dogs in Suds Grooming aims for the very best in quality service and results. Once grooming services are complete, the pet owner may look over the finished groom and allow us to correct any issues, where possible, before leaving the appointment. If you have concerns about your pet’s grooming experience, please notify us within 48 hours of the appointment. If you are not satisfied, we promise to correct any problems or mistakes, and perform a 100% refund of all charges if the issue cannot be resolved.
I, the pet owner, understand and do agree to the above terms for the grooming and maintenance of my pet(s) and in consideration of the grooming services of Dogs in Suds Grooming agree to hold harmless from damage, loss or claims arising from any known or unknown pre-existing condition of my pet(s). Pre-existing issues may include, but not be limited to illness, previous injury, skin or coat conditions, medical conditions, advanced age, or nervousness.
In the event of emergency where I cannot be reached, I authorize Dogs in Suds Grooming to act as my agent in the event emergency veterinarian services, care-taking and/or transportation is necessary and I agree to pay all costs where Dogs in Suds Grooming is not responsible. Any/all damages, loss or claim shall include, but not be limited to displacement, injury, shock, or death.
