Every Client will be asked to read and sign Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Ave Grooming and Boarding Policy Agreement prior to any grooming services being performed.
Client hereby entrusts pet(s) to Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Ave Grooming and Boarding for the purpose of grooming services.
PAYMENT INFO – General Policy
Payment is due at time of service, but Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Ave Grooming and Boarding will bill clients in good standing. We accept cash, checks, all major credit cards, Venmo and Apple Pay.
Checks returned NSF WILL incur a fee of $35, plus any fee Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Ave Grooming and Boarding bank may charge.
No further service will be provided until fee is paid.
OPERATING HOURS - General Policy
The salon is open for services Tuesday – Saturday from 7:30am to 5:30pm. Any appointments made outside of those hours will be at the discretion of Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Avenue Grooming and Boarding.
The mobile service hours are dependent on the number of clients booked on a specific day. General operating days are Tuesday – Saturday.
MATTED OR NEGLECTED COAT – General Policy
Excessive de-matting is a painful, time-consuming and costly procedure that causes extreme discomfort and can aggravate, or cause skin problems. Client is aware that neglect of the pet’s coat can be cause for problems after grooming such as clipper/brush irritation. If Client’s pet does not remain still accidents can happen such as, cuts, nicks, etc. from clippers or scissors. However, it is at Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Ave Grooming and Boarding discretion to determine if it is safe for the pet to be de-matted, if not, a “shave-down “of the pets coat will be completed after contacting the owner. Shaving your pet may dramatically change your pet’s appearance and the hair will be very close to the skin. This may expose pre-existing skin conditions. Client’s pet will receive a shave down & start over (additional fee for shave down.) Closely shaved pets are also prone to sunburn & should either have sun screen applied daily or should be kept out of the sun until the hair grows sufficiently to protect the skin. In some cases pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. In certain breeds & coat types, the coat may not grow back the same. Removing a heavily matted coat includes the risk of nicks, cuts and/or abrasions due to moles, warts or skin folds trapped in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture near the pet’s skin which can cause mold, fungus, bacteria or skin irritations that exist prior to the grooming process. The after-effects of mat removal procedures may include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions, or failure of hair to re-grow. Client is responsible for the condition of the pet’s coat and will not hold Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Ave Grooming and Boarding responsible in the event of adverse effects of mat removal.
Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Ave Grooming and Boarding employs extensive safety and sanitary precautions to ensure your pets safety and health. Despite reasonable and prudent efforts, some pets may experience common side effects of the grooming process, including but not limited to: razor burn, exposure of the quick, reactions to flea treatments and de-shedding dip treatments, hair splinters, and sharp nails (after clipping). By signing this agreement, you (the client) agree to relieve Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Ave Grooming and Boarding, and it's agents from any and all liabilities, and/or costs associated with any veterinary care, symptoms or discomfort of your pet related to or presenting after services rendered by Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Ave Grooming and Boarding. The pursuit of any veterinary, behavioral, or rehabilitation services, and the payment there of, is the sole responsibility of the pet owner. Additionally, you agree to relieve Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Ave Grooming and Boarding and its agents from any and all liability associated with damages to person, pet, or property by or relating to services rendered or service equipment used by Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Ave Grooming and Boarding and it's agents.
CANCELLATION POLICY/NO SHOW/TRIP FEE – Mobile Service Clients
On rare occasions, Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Ave Grooming and Boarding may need to cancel your appointment due to equipment failure, weather, illness, etc.
Every effort will be made to contact Client in advance to reschedule.
If Client cannot keep their appointment, please contact us AT LEAST 48 hours in advance. Failure to contact us within 48 hours before your appointment or failure to have your pet available at the scheduled time WILL result in a minimum charge of $30, which must be paid within 7 business days. All scheduled multiple pet clients, who may decide not to groom one of their pets at the last moment, WILL be responsible for part or all of that pets grooming charge. There will be a $30 trip fee for missed scheduled appointments, which must be paid within 7 business days. Ultimately it is Clients responsibility to keep track of their scheduled appointments, however Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Ave Grooming and Boarding will send a courtesy email and/ or text with confirmation link 2 days prior to confirm and remind you. If you are a first time Client and you are a no show when groomer arrives for your scheduled appointment, Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Ave Grooming and Boarding will not schedule any future appointments without prepayment for services.
KEY ON FILE SERVICE – Mobile Service Clients
Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Ave Grooming and Boarding offers a ‘key on file service’. Client provides a garage code, or some other form of access to the home, we will come by at your scheduled grooming appointment time to care for your pet and Client just leaves a form of payment, cash ,check, or prearranged credit card or Apple Pay / Venmo. Your pet must be left in an accessible area, please shut doors to any room you do not want us to retrieve the pet from.
TIME OF ARRIVAL – Mobile Service Clients
Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Ave Grooming and Boarding has a mobile service that brings the grooming to your doorstep. When the client books an appointment you will be given an estimated time of arrival of 2 hours. This is to allow for unforeseen circumstances that are outside of our control, things including, but not exclusive to traffic, a dog that needs to handled differently at a stop before the clients, and weather. We at Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Ave Grooming and Boarding will attempt to communicate as much as possible to when the arrival time will be.
NO SHOW POLICY - SALON CUSTOMERS
Any customer that No Show for their appointment in the Salon will need to place a Credit Card on file with Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Avenue Grooming and Boarding prior to the next scheduled appointment. Clients who No Show for appointments more than twice will be charged a $30 no show fee and will no longer be booked for the appointments without a non-refundable 50% deposit for the next scheduled appointment. Please communicate with us if there is an emergency.
PICKUP / DROP OFF – SALON
Drop off at the salon is between 7:30am – 9:00am. Drop off times for express services will be given at the time of booking but generally will be at 11:00am or 1:00pm.
Pickup at the salon is after your pet is completed and before 5:30pm. Please communicate to us if pickup is going to be after 5:30pm. Failure to communicate with Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Avenue Grooming and Boarding may result in a boarding charge or a late pickup fee of $15 per every 15 minutes past 5:30pm.
BOARDING POLICIES – Salon Customer
Bark Ave Mobile Pet Grooming LLC / Bark Avenue Grooming and Boarding offers boarding to clients. Drop off for boarding is at any time prior to 5pm on the start of the boarding reservation. Pickup of boarding pets shall be before 2pm on the last day of boarding. After 2pm and before 5:30pm will incur a $15 fee. After 6pm a full day boarding fee will be charged. This time is generally used to clean and sanitize for the next client.
All boarding pets will need to have current Rabies Vaccination and Bordatella on file.
All pets need to have sufficient food brought with them. While we have food on hand, having their own regular diet reduces the possibility for stomach issues. If we are feeding “house food” there will be a $3 charge per day per pet added to the invoice.
